This is another new stop for us – This gig came to us through our good friend Anson Funderburgh so we know it’s a cool room, but why don’t you check out what they have to say about themselves: The mission of 185 King St is to enrich the lives of its members by providing high quality entertainment in a relaxed but upscale environment. Provide a space for local musicians and artisans to perform for members who share a love of music and the arts and to promote and stimulate the musical and artistic development of the community. Or, you can check their website. http://www.185kingst.com/events/
Back at the Double Door!!! We so rarely get back to the southeast anymore that when we do it’s always an extra special occasion! We’re looking forward to seeing all our long-time Charlotte peeps as well as some new ones! As a special added bonus, Charlotte just happens to be the home of Intrepid Artists so we’re hoping for some sightings of the people who keep us on the road!
Whether like us, you’re playing there or if you’re a patron coming to see a show, Bradfordville Blues Club is a unique, throwback experience. The address might be in Tallahassee, but the club itself is situated high on a hill, out in the country off a gravel road. Here’s what they say about themselves:
The Bradfordville Blues Club experience is like no other. It combines a truly unique location and atmosphere with the best the Blues has to offer. Hidden in a rural part of Tallahassee, the experience begins when you travel down the winding dirt roads and up the hill that lead to the Club.
Surrounded by fields of tall stalks of corn and old majestic oak trees dripping with moss, the one room cinder block “juke joint” has hosted an impressive list of nationally renowned Blues acts. The more than 50 original portraits autographed by the “Kings and Queens” of the Blues, which serve as table tops and wall hangings, attest to the quality of our entertainment. The Club is open on Friday and Saturday nights and offers a good selection of ice-cold bottled beers and wine.
The Funky Biscuit – We’ve never been to the Funky Biscuit before – Here’s what their website says:
