Back at Biscuits and we couldn’t be happier! If you’ve never been to this iconic San Francisco blues landmark, it absolutely belongs on your bucket list. Biscuits and Blues offers the only best in international touring blues acts and when you combine that kind of quality entertainment with Biscuits’ famous down-home cooking, you’ve got an unbeatable combination!
God bless Nora Cary! I don’t know her yet, but her name’s on the contract so evidently she’s at least partly responsible for the resurrection of the iconic Palms Playhouse. If you’re among the in-crowd of devotees who’ve patronized the Palms over the years, you know what a huge event it’s reopening is – For approximately 40 years, first at it’s original Davis, CA barn, and for the last decade or so in it’s current Winters opera house location, the Palms consistently brought an eclectic mix of the best in Americana, Folk Music, and Blues to the central valley. Now they’re back! It’s a real cause for celebration.
Man! THIS will be one dynamite show! Doheny Blues Festival is one the absolute premier festivals in the country, but this show is really gonna to be special! NorCal vs SoCal! Battle of the bands! Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers vs Rick Estrin and the Nightcats in a no-holds-barred, no disqualification, (unfortunately, because it’s a festival there will be a time limit) death match!
I’m not sure of the address – Their site is in Danish and I couldn’t figure it out – It might be an actual train…no, I’m not kidding! Regardless, it’s a double bill with the incredible Ruthie Foster, so going to be a great show. When I know more, I’ll let you know too. http://www.train.dk/#_event-4056
